Wowsa we did a lot in January! Strategy Briefing!
It may be chilly outside, but Field Team 6 is on fire! In the first historic month of this historic year, take a look at what all you Field Team 6 volunteers and donors did!! Remember, all this outreach is fundamentally different than what any other organization does. Because you are reaching to unregistered, likely Democrats – to turn them into brand new voters in swing states and districts! It’s the single most effective way to win elections. And all this outreach is just from January, we swear!
The Postcards Team mounted 31 new campaigns in AZ, CA, GA, IA, MI, MT, NC, NV, NY, OH, PA, and WI. Iowans Care completed a campaign. New partners include Deborah Howard for State Senate in Arizona, and the Lancaster County Dems in PA. In total, we sent 148,632 postcards in January!
We are also exploding on the texting front! Our text partners include the Democratic Party of Knoxville, Tennessee, who sent over 32k texts and Civic Sundays, who sent 15k texts to NY-03! Our Text Arcaders send another 17k texts to NY-03, and nearly 50k into Arizona! And our growing army of free BYOP texters (join us TODAY!) sent another 111k texts – a 300% increase over December. All of this adds up to a January total of 224,000 voter registration texts sent!!
In phone bank news, we are now up to 11 phone banks, with 3 new ones coming online in battleground Michigan, an Illinois swing district (IL-06) for Rep. Sean Casten, and a key Tennessee State House district.
In-person voter drives popped off in CA, PA and NY, with live state-specific trainings planting seeds every month for more drives as many battleground states start warming up soon. Also, our wonderful new Volunteer Coordinator Jessica began her work in earnest as a voter drive matchmaker, helping link volunteers in our 11 target states who want to co-lead voter drives!
Social media continued to storm like an atmospheric river! Our social stormer army gets more massive every month, again pushing out tens of thousands of posts across every major platform. And my daily videos (on Instagram, Facebook, Twix, etc.) continue to grow an audience, generating over 500,000 plays in January!
These numbers are HUGE – and yet we are nowhere near capacity. We have 6 million unregistered, likely Democrats to text. We have almost 9 million to postcard. And wayyyy more than enough to call and register in person! So keep volunteering – keep donating – and let’s keep scaling up! Let’s gooooo!!!
