Last week, I was taking deep breaths to calm my nerves as Biden entered the room to deliver what, depending on his performance, could be our final State of the Union speech as a functioning democracy. How beautiful, how inspiring, how utterly moving it was to watch what he did next.
The entire world saw all uncertainty dispelled. The message was loud and clear.
Joe Biden has the brilliance, the fight, the vision, and the heart to lead this country again.
During the speech, multiple friends were texting me, things like:
-Fantastic!!
-I just cried about 50 times.
-I would walk through fire for this man.
Biden is exactly the person for this moment in history.
This was exactly the battle cry we needed to hear.
And you are exactly the right person to help us all make history.
You are reading this activism newsletter because you know the stakes could not be higher. What you do - YOU! - matters more than you can imagine.
We fight for the right to abortion, IVF, and contraception.
We fight for the rights of everyone we love. Everyone!!
When will we stop fighting? When we stop loving them.
That's right: NEVER.
And while it's not so great that we keep having to save the world...
One side effect is that we're getting reeeeeeally good at it.
