GAME ON!

When someone who has attained the highest office in the country willingly gives it up for the sake of the republic, the epic generosity of that act echoes down the centuries.
Because Washington did it, we have a democracy.
Because Biden’s doing it, we have a shot at keeping it.
What leadership in his stepping down. And what leadership in her stepping up!
And you know who I mean by “her!” Vice President Kamala Harris has generated a tidal wave of hope with serious 2008 vibes. It started Sunday, the moment Biden announced… and minutes later, endorsed his Vice President. Then Pelosi endorsed. More huge endorsements kept coming in a steady stream. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, Sen. Chuck Schumer, the Clintons, more, more, more. Mere hours later, all 50 Democratic state party chairs declared their unified support. Then that turned into the biggest day of fundraising in presidential history.
Then there was her first speech as presidential candidate, given from Biden HQ in Delaware, where President Biden, on speakerphone, said, “I’m watching you, kid. I love you.” Tears. Then her triumphant rally the next day in Wisconsin. Today, her first TV ad, which I set to loop so I could keep watching while I danced around the room and yelled and sang and made my dogs bark. (I had to pause it so I could write this.)
Joe Biden was the perfect man for the moment. And Kamala Harris is now the perfect woman for the moment. What masterful timing, too. During the four days of the Republican’s Nazi Rally, Biden took all the poison, barbs, and flames they could throw at him. And then when the smoke cleared, Biden revealed he… wasn’t the candidate! And VP Harris could emerge onto the stage unscathed. Beautiful!
We are living through history. And because we are activists, we make history.
To be clear: Kamala Harris is the underdog in this race. But every single thing we (and that "we" includes all of you!) have done at Field Team 6 has prepared us for this moment. The Democrats we have registered – and are registering right now, with your help! – are the voters who will win this.
We have 103 days until the election – and 74 days until voter registration deadlines hit. We need to raise $700,000 and contact over 10 million unregistered, likely Democrats before then.
To that point, our outreach is FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS! We are texting over 1,000,000 people a week! We just bought 2,900,000 new records for unregistered, likely Democrats in our 12 target states! Over 700 volunteers have signed up for today’s free BYOP texting training! Our printer is fulfilling postcard orders at an unheard-of rate! We’re setting up new in-person drives and more phonebanks! And our website traffic is at record highs.
This joy, this energy, this hope we all feel right now? Let it fuel our joyful work, let it fuel a blue tidal wave that saves our democracy!! Volunteer – Donate – Win!
