MOVEMENTS KEEP MOVING
MI-07 Text Arcade, TOT-ally Free Texting, Bonus Never Not Funny Pod!
Not gonna lie. Some weeks, it’s kinda tough writing this opening message. You try to avoid doomscrolling, but there’s so much doom in your scroll.
Trump got handed another obscene pile of money. Democratic maps get challenged while GOP power grabs survive untouched. The war with Iran drags on.
And with all that spiraling out there, you try psyching yourself up to send one more text, write one more postcard – wondering if it’s even going to make a difference.
But here’s the thing the Trumpers want you to overlook: It already has.
So far in 2026, we won the crucial, highly contested Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, even with Elon dropping 20 mill on the conservative judge. And all across the country, in some of the deepest red districts, we flipped key state legislative seats:
Texas Senate, District 9: Won by Taylor Rehmet in a district Donald Trump previously carried by 17 points.
Florida House, District 87: Won by Emily Gregory in a district that includes the Mar-a-Lago resort.
New Hampshire House, Carroll County District 7: Won by Bobbi Boudman, flipping a district previously carried by Republicans by 13 points.
Florida Senate, District 14: Won by Brian Nathan, a Navy vet and union leader.
Arkansas House, District 70: Won by Alex Holladay.
So find a fellow blue voter who’s feeling particularly blue, and do what you can to rev them up. Distract them from politics for a bit with a bad dad joke or a silly cat-Tok. And then remind them of how many amazing things we’ve already accomplished, together.
With the midterms just months away, we have to keep each other moving. And volunteering. And donating. That’s how movements survive long enough to win.

Thank you, Ellen! They work!
Thank you for the encouraging message! I still write postcards hoping they will reach and encourage folks to register and vote Dem.
