There are different ways to say the same thing. We could say we’re expanding the map.
Or we could say: Republicans, we are coming for you.
We could say we’ve gone from targeting 30 House districts to 48, and from seven swing states to 13.
Or we could say we are vowing to give all we’ve got to ensure fascism has no safe harbor anywhere in this country. Not in Texas, not in Mississippi, not in Florida. Not in South Carolina or Nebraska or Missouri.
To be clear-eyed about this, expanding the map means we will lose in more places than we would have. That’s OK. Because the biggest crime in this moment of opportunity would be a failure of vision.
And that is something we at Field Team 6 have never been accused of.
Our original target map was every House district and state where we won or lost by 8 points or fewer in 2024. But Trump has been so successful at failing that elections since November ‘24 have swung to the left an average of 14-15 points.
To seize this moment, we decided to now add as a target any district or state we lost by up to 15 points. LET’S GO!
In these midterms, we need to stockpile victories. In the wake of the Supreme Court’s blatantly racist Callais decision, we expect a new wave of gerrymandering before 2028. But if we bank enough victories now, we can withstand that… preserving our chance to sweep in ‘28 and crush Trump fascism once and for all.
This country is due for some good news. Let’s go make that news.
