Last weekend, Democrat Taylor Rehmet flipped a state senate seat bright blue in deep red Texas. It was a 31 point swing to the left. And here’s the craziest thing: this was not an outlier election.
This was in fact exactly in line with the consistent massive Democratic wins we have been seeing since the 2024 election.
We are in a race right now. Can we save democracy before Trump destroys it?
What Taylor Rehmet proved again is that we are winning this race.
These are the darkest times most of us have experienced in our lives. From watching our own government murder the innocent, tear families apart, and face no consequences, either for that, for their war crimes in Venezuela, or for their involvement in the unspeakable horrors of the Epstein files. These are the times that try our souls.
And we are clear-eyed as we watch Trump and MAGA continue to attack our democracy, our vote, our elections, every single day. We are in great danger. We need to keep protesting peacefully in great numbers. We need to keep registering more Democrats, calling our electeds, doing every type of activism we can, and more.
But so far, as of today, the fact is the electoral systems are holding. Trump and MAGA continue to be rebuffed by the courts, by the Constitution, by common sense, and by all of us. Secretaries of State are making preparations to rebuff any attempts to steal elections, intimidate voters, or otherwise derail the vote.
Elections continue to be free and fair. Democrats continue to win them explosively. And we need to keep registering the voters who will sweep the House, flip the Senate, and strike a massive blow against Trump this November.
But to do this, we need your help.
